If You Have an Account
You can delete it yourself, straight away. Sign in, open Settings, and choose Delete my account. You will be asked to confirm once, and then it is done — no email, and no waiting on us.
This permanently removes:
- Your SpeechBarn account and sign-in.
- Your child’s practice progress, finished games, and streak.
- Your quiz answers.
- Your place on any SpeechBarn emails.
It does not affect any other app of ours you may use with the same email address — those are separate products with separate accounts, and deleting one leaves the others alone.
If You Took the Quiz but Never Made an Account
Then there is nothing to sign in to, so email support@speechbarn.co and we will delete your records for you.
- Use the subject line “SpeechBarn account deletion”.
- Send the request from the email address you gave us.
- Tell us whether you want account deletion, quiz response deletion, or both.
We action these within one month, and usually much sooner.
If You Do Nothing
We delete inactive accounts and quiz responses automatically after 24 months without any activity, so nothing sits with us indefinitely just because you moved on. Accounts with an active paid subscription are not deleted this way.
What We May Keep
We may retain limited records when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or transaction history — for example, a record that a payment was made, which we are obliged to keep for tax purposes. We also keep anonymous usage counts that were never linked to you, your child, or your email address.
